Bookbinding I

This 6-day CBBAG foundation course introduces the variety of tools, materials and techniques fundamental to hand-bookbinding. The course will start with the making of a simple pamphlet and proceed to the binding of two hard cover books. Sewing structures, paper reactions, making book cloth, tips and tricks will all be covered. This class prepares participants to explore bookbinding on their own with a very good foundation or to continue with more advanced studies. For those who have taken Bookbinding 101, this course will delve much deeper into the traditional craft of bookbinding.

This is a CBBAG member course. Non-members of CBBAG will need to become members ($60.00 per year). Please sign up online at www.cbbag.ca and bring proof of membership on the first day of class.
