A six-day course spread over three consecutive weekends.

On Saturday and Sunday, November 29-30, December 6-7 and 13-14 at Spike Minogue’s studio in Stittsville.

This CBBAG course is an introduction to the craft of bookbinding, including terminology, materials, tools, techniques, and other core bookbinding concepts. The course starts with making simple pamphlet binding structures and ends with two case binding hardcover books.

Participants are guided through basic bookbinding skills, the principles behind the book structure, recommended suppliers, step-by-step bookbinding instructions, and much more! This course prepares you to explore bookbinding on your own or continue with more advanced studies.

Suitable for beginners and all experience levels, this workshop is the first of the CBBAG core curriculum and is a prerequisite for Bookbinding II.
