Dear Wayzgeese,

The 46th Wayzgoose Book Arts Fair will be held on Saturday, April 27th at the Grimsby Public Art Gallery, bringing together a captivating group of private press printers, bookbinders, print makers, paper marblers, and other artisans to celebrate the book arts amongst colleagues and visitors alike.   We have been fortunate to grow Wayzgoose over the years into a highly anticipated event that draws in thousands of visitors every year! This year we will be adding a new area within the Library Fireplace lounge to host exhibitors, which will allow us to increase our exhibitor numbers to just over 50. 

The application process for Wayzgoose 2024 is similar to past years. Please remember that: 

  • Wayzgoose is a celebration of hand made books. The event focusses on the book arts and related practices including, but not limited to, bookbinding, letterpress, original printmaking, papermaking, and marbling. Applicants will need to indicate the hand-made nature of their practice, and a brief, engaging description of your process is encouraged.
  • The application deadline is Friday,January19, 2024.
  • Applicants will be informed of the Wayzgoose Committee’s decision by February 9, 2024.
  • Successful applicants will receive notice about how to pay their $45 table fee.

If you would like to be a part of Wayzgoose 2024, please reply by e-mail by Friday, January 19. The following information is required: 

  • Contact name(s)
  • Press/group name (if applicable)
  • Town/City
  • E-mail  (if you would like a different e-mail address put on our list, please let us know)
  • Phone
  • Brief description of your work

You are also required to send up to 5 images of your work (please be mindful of the file size) via e-mail (please DO NOT send images via Dropbox or other file sharing websites) and the following information for each image:

  • Filename:  (example: yourname1.jpg)
  • Brief description:  (example: book with wood cover)
  • Medium:  (example: Coptic bookbinding)

The Gallery uses PC’s, so please do not send Apple exclusive files as we will not be able to open them.

We will once again be producing the Wayzgoose Anthology. A separate e-mail will be sent with all of those details shortly. The 2024 Wayzgoose Poster will be co-produced by Beth Rose of Grace Notes Press and Jeffrey Macklin of Jackson Creek Press.
