On April 29, the second lecture in the Alcuin Society Virtual Lecture Series 2021, Crispin Elsted of Barbarian Press in Mission BC and Jason Dewinetz of Greenboathouse Press in Vernon BC gave a joint presentation “The Pleasure of Principle: Convention & Craft in Contemporary Fine Press Printing”.
“While the traditional techniques and conventions of letterpress printing from metal type might seem, at times, burdensome and limiting, Crispin and Jason will discuss and explore their shared passion for working with and within these limits, even when they also push through them.”
