On Wednesday, 27 September 2017, Three Bats Press held a very successful formal book launch for their fine letterpress edition of Nadya Pohran’s new book of poetry, Indian Journeys. The event was held at Pour Boy Pub on Somerset Street West in Ottawa and there were about 20 people in attendance. Jason Byers, proprietor of Three Bats Press, introduced the author and she read a number of poems from the book. The reading added a new layer of appreciation and meaning to some of the poems. The applause from the crowd seemed truly heartfelt and not just polite, so they seemed to have enjoyed the poems. Nadya, the author, also read a bit from a novel that she is working on. After the readings, about half of the audience remained at the venue, talking with Nadya. To top the success, Three Bats Press sold a number of copies of the book.
