Please join the CBBAG Ottawa Valley Chapter at the Carleton University Book Arts Lab, MacOdrum Library, Carleton University, for a special event celebrating the 150th anniversary of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s birthday in conjunction with the Kindred Spirits book arts exhibition. 

Order of events

5:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

  • Join Christine McNair, Chair of CBBAG National, for a make and take session – learn to sew a pamphlet binding. 

6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.

  • Introduction and welcome to the event by Christine McNair.
  • Short talk by Carleton University Professor Sara Jamieson about Lucy Maud Montgomery related to the exhibition.
  • Short overview of the bookbinders and book artists featured in the exhibition.

7:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. 

  • Join us for a celebratory piece of cake and a tour of the Book Arts Lab.
