Programme: Lettering Through Time or how our alphabet got to where it is today.
Presented by Calligraphy Society of Ottawa (CSO) member and full time calligrapher Rick Draffin, this short presentation will be on the changes in the letters from antiquity to present day, including some of the latest trends in contemporary calligraphy. Calligraphy and book binding have been entwined through most of their histories and with the help of Tiffany Moore, the time line for scripts will be marked with important events in book binding.
