The SWAP is a project that brings together Ottawa-Valley book artists to create, share, make and show and tell about their book or box and their journey through the creative process.

How does it work?

Each participant creates a signature sheet of the specified size, inspired by the given theme. Each participant has to produce as many identical sheets as there are participants (usually between 10-15), plus one more for CBBAG Ottawa archives. These sheets get swapped with the other participants. Each participant then takes a set of loose signature sheets and assembles then in book structure or a box of their own design. A few months later at a CBBAG Ottawa meeting, participants show their finished work and tell us about the creative process.

What are the specifications for this SWAP?
