In this group exhibition, eight Ottawa-Gatineau printmakers share their diverse interpretations of migration, from the wonder of vast animal journeys, to the harsh reality of migrants forced to leave their homes with only the clothes on their backs, but also the hope inherent in the flight to new possibilities. They do so in a wide variety of formats and techniques all involving printmaking: kites and banners suspended from the ceiling, suitcases and travel bags, stark and subtle imagery lining the walls, and paper sculptures. Together, the works create an immersive experience investigating phenomena of migration.
