Saturday & Sunday, September 23-24, 2017
A steamroller printmaking event will be held where these personal community prints will be included to make a giant printed “Port Hope Heritage Quilt.”
Plus, the steamroller will also produce a series of professionally designed MEGA prints (4’x8′!), which will later be displayed in public and entered into the archival record of Port Hope’s cultural achievements. We have some pretty amazing regional and internationally renowned contemporary artists and printmakers designing these MEGA prints, so it’s going to be very exciting to see them on such a huge scale!
The event will be free, hands on and accessible to all. It will feature printmaking demonstrations, exhibits, an artist/printmaker marketplace and family-friendly print related activities. The festival will be the official unveiling of our miniature museum of contemporary art as well, and it will feature its own miniature print exhibition!
