To mark the city of Ottawa’s bicentennial, 21 printmakers from the Ottawa-Gatineau Printmakers Connective created large handmade posters, using a variety of printmaking techniques, to interpret moments in history and landmarks of the city’s cultural, social and natural heritage, from Bytown to Ottawa. The artists invite visitors to reflect on their own experiences of the city.
Displayed in the same venue, this exhibition is concurrent with the Ottawa School of Art’s exhibition “Where Are You Hiding?” to celebrate the hidden communities around us and their importance in our spaces through works on paper by artists and OSA Diploma students.
