Thank you to those that attended the first hybrid CBBAG-OV meeting at the Carleton University Book Arts Lab. It was lovely to see those returning and also a few young people that may become members! The following roles were confirmed:
- President: Amy Jenkins
- Treasurer: Spike Minogue
- Secretary: Larry Thompson
We are still looking for a Program Coordinator and a Workshop Coordinator. If you are interested in one of these positions, please contact CBBAGOttawa@CBBAG.ca.
The next hybrid meeting takes place on Wednesday December 14th from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Book Arts Lab at Carleton University*. If you would like the Zoom link to participate virtually, please send an email to CBBAGOttawa@CBBAG.ca.
Thank you to Deidre Hierlihy and Larry Thompson for organizing the December activity:
Paste papers (and cards, bags and tags)
Getting ready for gift giving….Larry Thompson will lead a play session using a paste paper process for decorating paper. The Book Arts Lab will provide everything, including large sheets of paper (wrapping paper), small card stock (greeting cards), book board for making “combs”. BUT if you have stuff lying around: butcher paper, paper bags, envelopes and cards to decorate, or tools with tinges and texture, bring them to share.
