Changes to the CBBAG-OV executive and future chapter meetings
Hello. My name is Amy Jenkins and I’m a CBBAG-OV member. Earlier this summer I agreed to take on the role of President of the Ottawa Valley chapter while Spike completes her studies in Boston. I’ve been a member of CBBAG since 2017 and have been active in this chapter for the past few years.
I’m excited to announce that we’re launching the return of in-person meetings of the chapter, with the option to participate virtually for those that wish. Meetings will take place the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Carleton University Book Arts Lab. The first meeting of the year will take place on Wednesday November 9th. For those that would like to join in person, here is a link to a PDF document with information about the parking at Carleton University and the directions to the MacOdrum Library and the Book Arts Lab.
It’s been a long time since we last met. When we meet in November, I’m proposing we do a round table update of the membership including a show and tell. I’d also like to hear from you about the events and activities you’d like to see this year as part of their CBBAG membership. We have funds for workshops and other activities so please bring your ideas.
We’re also looking for new members for the executive. Susan Pinard has stepped down as secretary – thank you Susan for having done this for several years, we appreciate your contribution. Susan Ross is also stepping down as the membership coordinator – thank you Susan for your contribution to the chapter. We’ll also need someone to take on the role of workshop coordinator.
Susan Pinard will be coordinating this year’s chapter SWAP. More details will be available at November’s meeting.
If you haven’t received an email from us and would like to join the meeting virtually, contact us prior the meeting at cbbagottawa@cbbag.ca.
