A swap brings together book artists to share in a common project. In order to foster creativity, the techniques, themes and rules vary for each swap project.
Participants are asked to prepare signatures to exchange with one another. The total number of signatures required will depend on the number of participants. Each participant will then “bind” their collection of signatures to form a unique work.

Signatures: A sheet measuring 5.5 x 8.5 inches folded in half to create pages measuring 4.25 inches wide by 5.5 inches high. Tip: A letter-size (8.5 in x 11 in) sheet of paper cut in half will provide two signatures. For more pages, additional sheets may be added to make the signature. IMPORTANT: Signatures need to be signed and colophons placed on the back.
Important dates: To participate, submit your name by December 1st, 2020 to Susan Pinard, swap coordinator. If things go well, we will be able to exchange our signatures in March 2021, and show bound books in June 2021. These deadlines may be modified in accordance with the situation regarding COVID-19 restrictions.
