This six-day course introduces many intermediate techniques necessary for traditional binding structures. These include rounding and backing, sewn core end bands, edge treatments, sewing the text block with recessed cords, hollow tubes, head caps, visible and invisible hinges, trimming with a plough and making protection packets for the end papers and text block. Participants will sew two models, completing one as a German case binding and the other as a Bradel binding.

This course will run 2 consecutive weekends. Fri, Sat and Sun – March 13, 14, 15 and March 20, 21, 22 from 9:30 to 4:30.

Workshop Cost: $500.00 CBBAG members, $560.00 non-members ($60.00 towards membership)
Material Fee: $40.00 (paid in cash to the instructor at the workshop)
